Directions
Fabric paper for computers can often be found at stores which carry
quilting supplies. It is cotton fabric laminated to a sheet of paper.
Print design following package directions. Fabric transfer paper would
also work for this project.
You can mail order these sheets from: Quilt-N-Stuff,
1630 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314
Note: Dotted line may be outside of print
field. NOT a problem. It is a reminder for you to leave room for
fringe or hem space.
After printing:
1. Cut on dotted lines.
2. Spray with fixative designed for MARKERS or INKS. Follow
directions on spray can.
3. Peel off paper backing while avoiding stretching the grain of the
fabric.
4. Stabilize the piece by spreading a thin line of
white, tacky, fabric glue such as
Velverette on the edges only of the reverse side of the printing
for each project.
Afghan : Thin line of glue on back of
the
base line
to keep the raveling from going further.
Allow to dry. Ravel threads on four sides to create fringed effect
Rug or Quilt: Thin line of Velverette-type glue to prevent raveling
on reverse side of the dotted line.
Edge or back to finish.
Enjoy, Laurie
